We have come a long way
Looking back through the years of our crude beginning, we can relate to the few small villages who were beneficiaries of our preventive and interventional medical outreaches, and empowerment-centered vocational education for women. We are Humanadng are glad seeing smiles we had put on the faces of the ill-looking children whose abjectly poor parents had sat hopelessly helplessly beside them hoping help will reach them. We appreciate our friends and partners who made those small impact possible with their contributions.
However, we have grown from being a group of students to graduate professionals and from the crude undocumented interventions into an officially registered non-governmental organization. Our strategies are being modified to meet world-class standards, our funding are being expanded from in-house contributions and support from friends to Philantropists and world-class donor organizations.
Our Projects are S.M.A.R.T; targeted for community development.
Our projects are SPECIFIC; The Empower Girls Initiative promotes female child education and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights among young adolescents and youths in secondary and tertiary schools. Ruralmedaid promotes accessible comprehensive healthcare services to rural communities with a focus on reproductive and child health. The Women Empowerment Project ensures that underprivileged young women and mothers are empowered to earn enough to improve their family living standards that foster sustainable child care.
The objectives of each project as defined are MEASURABLE by the level of impact and the number of beneficiaries reported. The project outcomes are ACHIEVABLE with the proud effort of our enviable team of vision-carrying professionals, volunteers, and funded through donations from partners and donor organizations.
With about 63% of the population considered multidimensionally poor due to abject poor access to basic and social amenities, constituting over 11% of the world’s abject poor people, Nigeria needs the effort of visionary individuals and organizations to make living better. The statistics make our projects RELEVANT understanding that Humanaidng is sited in the North which bears the burden of poverty in Nigeria. Lastly, as much as some sponsored projects may be TIME-BOUND, the major projects have been designed to last a lifetime with a structured sustainable funding process.
We believe in the strength of our professionals and the passion of our volunteers
Humanaidng was founded on the strength of volunteers. The first generation of its volunteers formed the board of trustee members. To date, Humanaidng has built on the capacity and passion of its volunteers to actualize its targeted projects. Because we have an all-inclusive team of volunteers; culture, religion, and gender, reasoning is objective. Thus, our strength is built on this teamwork. However, our greatest weakness is poor funding as Humanaidng built its source majorly on benevolent individuals and partner organizations.
The redefinition of our three major projects allows for much effective impact and increases coverage thereby creating opportunities for more volunteer participation and more philanthropists to get involved.
Consider your donation as an investment in humanity
Every donation you make from your hard-earned money should be valued beyond a reply of “Thank”. This is our value at Humanaid Community Development Initiative. It is our culture to consider every donation an investment, and consequently regard our donors as stakeholders. Thus, every stakeholder are updated on the progress of their donations. This process ensures our transparency as an organization to donors and foster the culture of appreciation from the beneficiaries through us as an organization.
